Valhalla Inn Executive Chef, Herbert Kraus

Chef Kraus came to Thunder Bay over 4 years ago from the Metropolitan Hotel in Toronto. He spent over 5 years with Super Clubs Jamaica as Executive Chef and Sous Chef and prior to that was at the Four Seasons, Toronto and the Sheraton Hotel chain on Toronto, Zurich and Vienna.

Born near Linz, Austria, Herbert attended the Higher Institute of Agriculture in Austria, worked as a Cook Apprentice and then as a Chef in Officers Club of the Naitonal Service (Army) in Austria.

Chef Kraus has been recongnized for Culinary excellence a number of times through a variety of competitions.
